Rita Langeland - Bio

Rita Langeland is an accomplished Bible teacher and the founder and Executive Director of Hidden With Christ Ministries based in Tustin, California. HWCM began in 2000 with a focus of producing a radio program of Bible teaching entitled “Keys To Victorious Christian Living.”  The program aired in the U.S. and overseas for over six years.

The radio ministry led to invitations to minister in several African nations where the Lord gave her a deep love for the African people. Developing many solid relationships with African church leaders through her pastoral leadership seminars, she has continued to travel in both East and West Africa to encourage the indigenous church. Rita discontinued her radio broadcast in 2006 in order to give her time exclusively to missions work on the African continent.

In 2006 she founded the Treasures of Africa Children’s Home in Moshi, Tanzania an orphanage for AIDS orphans and abandoned children. Hidden With Christ Ministries purchased a five and half acre plot of farm land in 2011 outside of the town of Moshi, and Rita is currently spearheading efforts to raise funds to build the TREASURES OF AFRICA CHILDREN’s VILLAGE on that property.

She is the author of two books, BIBLE BASICS FOR EVERY BELIEVER and ZABLON: THE TRUE STORY OF A MAASAI WARRIOR.

She and her husband Pastor David Langeland live in Orange County, California where they founded Safe Harbor Church in 1996. They have one son, Andy, and daughter-in-law Jaimee who have blessed them with two beautiful grand daughters.
